Most foot and ankle problems can be successfully treated by conservative
methods. If surgery becomes indicated, there are several options available.
Many of these surgical procedures can be performed under local anesthesia
in our fully licensed, Medicare approved, outpatient surgical center
to avoid unnecessary hospital costs. Selected foot problems can even
be treated with laser surgery to help speed up recovery periods, decrease
postoperative discomfort, and allow for little or no time off from work
or school.
If hospitalization is necessary, surgery can be performed at one
of three local community hospitals at which we have full admitting
privileges. Depending on the health of the patient, the procedure
can be done on an inpatient or outpatient basis.
No two foot problems are alike. Each problem needs to be examined on
an individual basis and treated accordingly to help you continue your
day-to-day activities with minimal discomfort and inconvenience.
